Welcome to Mom & Pop Ferretry
Where we grow for size and quality

A Little About M & P

We started breeding our own ferrets over 20 years ago because we realized that the ferrets coming from the mills were having way too many medical problems. We found out the mills spay or neuter and descent at only 4 weeks old. At that age it compromises their immune system.

Our ferrets that we breed come from all over the world and we keep pedigrees so there won't be any inbreeding. When we sell one of our ferrets it is required you sign a contract for altering when the ferret reaches one year in age and descenting is not allowed. We feel at that age their immune system can handle the surgery. You can see the ferrets we have for sale along with the parents of those ferrets here.

Pictures of kits

If you would like to see pictures of newborns, also known as 'kits', you can click here. These pictures were taken a while back and all the kits are grown now and they have found happy homes, but you can see how small and fragile they are when they're born.

About The Oregon Ferret Shelter

We also own and operate the Oregon Ferret Shelter because when we started breeding our thought was if we sell them, then we should shelter them too. We feel it's only right, so we opened up The Oregon Ferret Shelter. We have made it our pledge that when we sell one of our ferretry kids the proceeds go directly to the O.F.S. this way we can give other ferrets a better chance. We are a no-kill shelter and proud of it. We believe every ferret should have a chance for a happy life.
